For the collaborative research project my group members and I decided to create a children’s book explaining genetic engineering. We decided on the children’s book because it was would be more interesting and engaging. At first, We decided we would do each part of the book together but working in a group was difficult because of the different time schedules between me and my members. We decided to break the work up instead. After deciding on  the plot, we made the book and edited through various sources such as google docs and google slides. I believe at the end of this project I was able to enhance strategies for reading, drafting, revising, editing and self- assessment. I did a lot of revising and editing for this part of the project because I was responsible for the plot and wanted to satisfy my group members. Making changes to the original plot allowed me to practice my revising and editing skills more as I included different ideas.
